Event Photography
Event photography coverage includes everything from food, entertainment, guests/patrons, speeches and general good vibes.
I have an eye for finding the smiles on people's faces and a knack for capturing every detail that goes into your event. I aim to document the atmosphere of the occasion with a mix of wide and narrow photos.
I understand the importance of ‘hero' shots for future promotion of similar events or just to make your event stand out on social media. I aim to use natural light as much as I can to avoid using intrusive flashes that interrupt a performance or speech.
Event photography done well is when the atmosphere and vibe is encapsulated in a series of effortless photographs.

Approach
I approach each event as unique to each client and their needs. Before a shoot, I'll narrow down the focus and intention for the images to achieve the best outcomes.
Blending In
I often get the feedback after photographing an event that people hardly knew I was there. It's really important to me that I blend in and go unnoticed at an event to allow people to feel relaxed which allows me to capture natural smiles and candid moments.
Silent Shooting
It's important for some events to have complete silence. So it's valuable to mention that my camera does not allow me to shoot fully without sound. It is quiet, but not silent. Please let me know if this is important for your event and we can discuss options.
Travel
I am based in Launceston but am available to travel. Please allow for travel fees if the event is outside this area.
Social Photos
The main focus of my event photography is on candid moments, connection, atmosphere, details and wide photos to set the scene. If you require posed photos with groups of people smiling at the camera, please let me know in advance.
